These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website providenceebikerentals.com and all rental services provided by Providence E-bike rentals (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking or using our rental services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or services.
1. Company Information
Providence E-bike rentals offers electric bike rental services operating from Providence, Rhode Island at 559 S Water St, Providence, RI 02903. For same-day reservations or questions, you may call: (401) 240-2834 or email providenceebikerentals@gmail.com.
2. Scope of Services
We rent electric pedal-assist bikes (e-bikes) and may offer additional accessories (e.g., kid trailers, coolers, bike locks, bungee racks). Reservations are required. Bikes may be rented for specific start times and durations as designated on our website. Use of our services is subject to bike availability, battery charge status, and any additional rental terms specified at booking.
3. Reservation, Payment & Cancellation
3.1 Reservation: You must reserve a bike prior to rental. We may require a deposit or full payment in advance.
3.2 Start Time & Duration: Rental start time, duration and returns must comply with the schedule set at booking — delays or late returns may incur additional charges.
3.3 Payment: Payment must be made via the methods we accept (e.g., credit card) at or prior to pickup.
3.4 Cancellation & Rescheduling: We may specify a cancellation or rescheduling policy (for example, deadline for free cancellation). Late cancellations or no-shows may incur full rental charges.
3.5 Refunds: Refunds, if any, are subject to our policy and discretion.
4. Condition of Equipment and Rider Responsibility
4.1 Pre-Ride Inspection: Before you begin your ride, you must inspect the e-bike and accessories (helmets, lock, trailer, etc.) and notify us of any defects.
4.2 Use & Care: You agree to operate the bike in a safe, careful, and lawful manner. You must obey all applicable traffic laws, posted signs, and helmet laws of Rhode Island. You must ride reasonably, avoid reckless behavior, and ensure accessories are used as intended.
4.3 Prohibited Use: You must not allow anyone else to ride the bike, nor use it for commercial purposes, race events, stunt riding, or off-trail terrain unless explicitly permitted. You must not consume alcohol or use drugs before or during the rental.
4.4 Return Condition: At the end of your rental period, you must return the bike and accessories in the same condition, barring normal wear and tear. You are responsible for any damage, loss or theft that occurs while the equipment is under your care.
4.5 Battery & Range: Because our e-bikes operate on battery power, your ride range may vary. You accept that we cannot guarantee a specific range or battery life beyond what is indicated at booking.
5. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
5.1 Assumption of Risk: By renting and riding our e-bikes, you understand and accept that there are inherent risks of injury or damage including, but not limited to, falls, collisions (with pedestrians, vehicles, or objects), mechanical failures, battery malfunction, slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, weather conditions, or rider fatigue.
5.2 Waiver of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Providence E-bike rentals, its owners, employees, agents and affiliates from any and all liability arising out of your use of our rental equipment or premises, including but not limited to claims, demands, losses or damages for bodily injury, property damage or death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

7. Damage, Loss and Theft Charges
7.1 In the event of damage to the equipment (excluding normal wear and tear), you agree to pay the cost of repair or full replacement if irreparable.
